Doctorate

As part of the doctoral programme, a comprehensive academic thesis is written, which is then defended in a final oral examination, known as the ‘disputation’. A doctorate awarded by the Faculty of Law leads to the conferral of the doctoral degree ‘Doctor iuris’ (‘Dr. iur.’).

The doctoral office of the Faculty of Law can answer any questions you may have about the doctoral procedure. In addition, the Graduate School of the Faculty of Law is available to assist and support all doctoral students with their doctoral project.
